Watch-versus Interval Timer timer (s)?
we just got stylish Timex Ironman and could someone explain what the interval timer "x2 are used and how they differ from the timer. I'm in a group race. We use the interval timer so we can take walk breaks on a regular basis. What we do is set an interval timer for maybe five minutes, and the second for a minute and repeat both. This allows us to run five minutes after the watch beeps to tell us to walk for a minute. Once the clock is set to repeat this cycle of beeping for five minutes, one minute then continues for the duration of the race. You can not do this with the timer function, " it repeats the one time and again. I also use the interval timer for house cleaning. I set an int. timer so I can work 45 minutes and the second so I can a break of 15 minutes. I do this if I will be working for several hours.
