Summer Movies – Entertainment or Just Business? Part 2
My prayers were answered! Lastly, an over-hyped movie with all the buzz a studio can ask, actually offers. Batman, you're my hero. I'm almost speechless, to say the least, but more importantly, relieved beyond belief. An action packed big-budget movie that is worth seeing again and again on the big screen? The Dark Knight received stellar title = "Comments"> reviews by fans and critics, and has set a box office record – U.S. $ 158 million in three days. This record was established only a year ago by Spider-Man 3, which grossed $ 151 million to start the season of summer films. Now I know I have not seen a penny any of this, and why should I care if some of these films broke records and such? But the truth is that, considering I love movies, like statistics following box office and find out random facts (Gone With The Wind is the biggest movie [box office] national of all time when adjusted for inflation – $ 1.3 billion). Taking this into consideration, it bothers when a big-budget film like Spider-Man 3 ($ 258 million budget), which was a terrible movie, breaks of all time, such as records for opening day, opening weekend, and the numbers one day, to say the least. When a fantastic, fun film like The Dark Knight begins this credit, satisfies me more, feeling like the movie really deserves such praise.
Okay, so you want to call me dork film okay. But I'll tell you this – I'm not alone, more than 30 million people in the United States went to go watch The Dark Knight in its first week. I must have one or two friends there somewhere, and year after year, films are becoming more popular, which means most stupid movie like me. However, all this leads a fundamental fact – more title = "business opportunities" business opportunities> for the studios, and more money in their wallets. You would think that, as these studios get wealthier, they would like to start helping people, or at least their local community in some way or another.
