Comic book inkers / designers …. I doubt ?!?!?

Well, for starters, no inkers do all the shading for the designer, or the designer has to show where he wants to do the shading and then the inker follow up (perhaps by adding your own touch)? Furthermore, in designing a superhero brilliant – like Booster Gold or Silver Surfer, the designer does have to do the little lines and circles to show that the character is brilliant or he can just ask the inker or colorist to give the character a look shiny again? Thanks

Here is what I know: When a designer makes a sketch, he can do little starting points or arrows to indicate that some areas should be heavy with paint, light or in a manner "as bright as you mentioned. Many inkers are very skilled in ink, without any advice or suggestion, and paint over the pencil cleverly, without any problems. Again, this varies. Also, when someone outlines something bright, like the Silver Surfer, he'll draw it in a way so that it appears as the character or the surface is shiny, metallic, shiny, etc. He may also ask the inker or colorist, like you said, to do it for him. They often use digital processes to this end, but I'm "old school" and prefer to look hand drawn art. I am not a professional comic book artist or inker, but I'm an artist, and I read many articles and interviews about this process. Someone may have more specific information. but one thing I know.
