Silver Surfer Planets
What was the deal with the Silver Surfer in that movie?
I always thought he was a good guy.
I have not seen the new Fantastic 4 Movie so how is he ‘eating the planet’?

but purely because this may save you the unpleasant experience, i will outline it as follows. this may be a spoiler, depending on how picky you are, but i’ll try to keep it a little vague and just basic-outliney:
the Silver Surfer is the herald for Galactus (formerly an alien, he agreed to serve Galactus to secure the saftey of his planet and lover. there have been other Silver Surfers before the current one). Galactus is a giant space robot..er.. cloud, that eats worlds. he is supposed to be a necessary element in our universe, because he uses his power to recreate it after it ends. this aspect of Galactus seems to be ignored in the movie however. Anyhow, because humans are so damn amiable, the Silver Surfer decides to be not such a bad guy after-all. the end.
