Silver Surfer Costumes

Where can I find (or make!) A Silver Surfer "surfboard for a costume?

I'm looking for a board to use at a costume party. I'll be going as the Silver Surfer. I'm sure I will not find a board of silver anywhere, but was looking to spray paint or a cheap (not really!) Board to do the job. Is there anywhere I can buy a surfboard foam or inflatable typed item? I looked swim floats, but the biggest I've found is 19 "/ 48 cm long, and I like preferably greater than (about 100 cm +?) Anywhere I can buy it? Or any other ideas for making a surfboard surf? As its for a fancy (and I'll be taking it all night) it does not have to be perfect! Price range, I'm looking for no more than £ 20GBP. Beyond that, I'm in the UK as well, preferably stores and websites in the UK, but do not have time to look further. Thanks, Amanda

I do not live in the UK, but my suggestion would be to visit your local home improvement store and look for some large sheets of foam insulation and, depending on the thickness, you may have glue the two together and then cut a shape of a surfboard and then paint to your liking. Be careful with the paint you use, some spray paint will melt styrofoam, I have sure about the foam insulation, do a test sample on a piece remaining in the first place. Have fun and be creative!
