Titleist Pro V1 balls was one of the best selling of a number of years. The ball was used by many professionals, including Padraig Harrington, Vijay Singh, Lee Westwood, David Love III and Jose Maria Olazabal. Callaway asked the lower court for an order to stop selling Acushnet golf balls covered by patents. This was a long battle with Titleist Acushnet and lower court ruled that no can sell Pro V1 golf balls covered by patents from January 1, 2009.
