Why can not the big guns like Marvel and DC (and others) offer a cheap edition of his comics?

Hopefully someone out there is a member of the comics industry and can answer but the prices are very expensive to cover. As an old (late 20s), I'm more interested in a story w journal of his most popular titles? That would pull more revenue older (and maybe less) to Wikipedia.) Thus, sales and advertising revenue for weeks or even days, since are much higher than the average comic does in a year Now I'm sure if comics have reduced their prices more people were receptive to getting more comics cheap that provide more bang for your buck, you would expect to sell these securities to 100k with the X-Men and JLAs but they do not. Thus, prices can not cut
