Marvel Comics Onslaught Reborn

Can you explain Onslaught / Heroes Reborn in the Marvel Universe?

Well, Iron Mans was only released as soon as I pondered my collection of comics, I never quite understood the whole idea of the thing Onslaught Heroes / reborn. Where can I get some detailed information about what happened and why? I recognize the easiest way would be to buy all the comics, but I do not have a local or comixshop funds really?

I can easily explain. Massacre was created when Professor Xavier wiped Magneto mind. Somehow, the evil Magneto's psyche was transferred to Xavier, where he then used his incredible mental power to manifest itself as Onslaught, a creature who had the mental capacity to both Xavier and Magneto's magnetic powers. Onslaught then went on a rampage, kidnapping Franklin Richards (son of Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman) to her reality altering the skills and the X-Man (Nate Grey) for its virtually unlimited psychic abilities, making Onslaught that much more powerful. Anywho, Onslaught captured a group of Sentinels and reprogrammed to do his bidding, and basically a fight with the world. Iron Man, Hulk, The Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four and all Onslaught attacked, and in the final battle it was found that all but the Hulk and the X-Men, who died in battle. However, Franklin Richards, on a attempt to save his family, he created an alternate universe for those who "died" residing inside It became the "Heroes Reborn" universe. Heroes Reborn was a kind of dry-run for "Marvel Ultimate after brand," where the characters were essentially the same, yet different fundementally.
