What makes Spiderman stand out as marvel movie production?
All the other marvel movies completely sucked with the exception of Spiderman, Iron Man, and Blade. It is amazing that these movies followed the comic book story lines very closely and somehow managed to make the most money but whenever Marvel tried something different like Doom the astronaut in FF4 or totally screwing up all X-men movies by ignoring 30 years of comics and using JWhedons crap story line these movies failed. Don’t get me wrong they made money but nothing like they should have. X might have been hightest grossing ever if they had Apocalyse in it, or Mutant massacre, or Angel the founding member.
What can marvel do?
Did they lose control of the rights or something?
Doesnt seem like Stan and Aviwould sit by and let them destroy there work, but….
get comic writers to do the scripts eg. frank miller to do daredevil, peter david to write hulk.
take fan votes for casting
test directors on their knowledge of the character. sam raimi would easily pass. tim burton would flunk a batman test
