Theme Park Paris

Planning a trip to France with their children, but do not know where to go? Looking at the theme park excitement in Europe to rival of America? So why not visit Paris – not only is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but also has two great theme parks nearby, that kids will love. Enter the world of the cartoon Gaul Parc Asterix or mingle with Mickey, Minnie and company at Disneyland Paris.

Parc Asterix

Introduction

This mainly French theme park brings to life one of France's most popular comic book cartoons of all time – Asterix of Gaul, a little warrior and peculiar life in Armorica in 50 BC, the only part of Gaul not to be conquered by the Romans. The amusing stories in focus comic Asterix, his kind and a little more rotund friend Obelix and the druid Panoramix site (Panoramix in French), which prepares them for magic potions.

Location

The park is located about 30 km (20 miles) north of Paris, north of Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris on the A1 motorway Lille.

Attractions

There are some exciting rides and hair-raising, all loosely based on classical themes – there's thunder Zeus – the largest wooden roller coaster in Europe, the ship rocking Roman galley, the Trojan and death-defying ride Goudurix loop-the-loop, and chairs flying, log rails and other favorites popular theme park.

Shows

There is always lots of fun happens when you want a break from sightseeing. Meet your favorite characters in costume parade – are held several times a day, or back in time to a Gaulish Village Festival, where there are many great activities and funny goings-on daily. The show of dolphins and sea lions is captivating, and the Druid Magic Show will leave you spellbound. And that's not all – there are several different stage performances throughout the day, in which Asterix and his friends are involved in high adventure and play high.

Restaurants

Being an amusement park French, the food here is excellent and of course there is a huge variety of eating places to choose from, if you're looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack. There is a great pizzeria, a creperie and a tasty delicious snack to name a few. All themed restaurants as well – there a medieval banquet hall, a buffet in a big circus tent top colorful Gallic a tavern and a Roman villa.

Shops

You can purchase souvenirs Asterix in all shapes and sizes, from t-shirts and mugs with helmets and swords. There are stalls and boutiques around the park, so you can get what you want when you want. If you're looking for other gifts and souvenirs, there are some wonderful shops selling Egyptian, Roman and Greek themed ornaments, handicrafts and clothes.

Accommodation

Hotel des Trois HIBOUX is the only accommodation within the park itself, but it is a wondeful place to stay and offers great value for money. The facilities at this three star hotel is excellent – there's a cozy lounge with a fireplace, a playroom for children and a terrace bar. Close Novotel hotels include Kyriad, Campanile and Mercure, so you'll never be stuck for somewhere to stay.

Disneyland Paris

Introduction

Disney's only theme park in Europe is very similar in style to the parks in the United States. The Magic Kingdom is divided into four different areas, which converge on Main Street USA – the early 20th century themed streets with horses, trams and vintage cars. Fantasyland is a world of fairy tales and is aimed at children. There's Sleeping Beauty Castle, the home of Snow White and Alice in Wonderland maze. Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Dumbo and also put in an appearance. Frontierland is a gold rush theme area with Pocahontas Indian Village, a shooting gallery, Big Thunder Mountain and Wild West legends all around. Adventureland sweeps it through beautiful exotic lands of the passage to the Enchanted Aladdin Pirates of the Caribbean lagoon. Discoveryland is a wonderful area of science and space.

Attractions

All the most popular attractions of the American parks are recreated in Disneyland Paris. There is the terrible Space Mountain, the Mad Hatters Teacups, It's a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Shows

No trip to a Disney theme park would be complete without a stop where you can find your favorite characters from Disney. There are parades in various parts of the park throughout the day, then you will never lose. Some show excellent stage performances include "The Lion King, The Tarzan Encounter and Winnie the Pooh and his friends too.

Restaurants

Each zone has its own range of places to eat for all tastes and appetites at any time of day. Some of the best ones are Victoria's Homestyle Restaurant on Main Street USA, which serves healthy, traditional American dishes like meat pie and chocolate brownies. The Cowboy Cookout in Frontierland is a restaurant for mouthwatering barbecue, country music and dancing, while Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet serve pizzas in an intergalactic atmosphere.

Shops

You will not have any discomfort find a gift from her favorite Disney character – there are a variety of soft toys in many stores around the park, from old classics such as Winnie the Pooh Buzz Light year the space age. Discoveryland stores have some weird and wonderful scientific gadgets and appliances, while Adventureland has exotic gifts and memories of distant lands. Budding cowboys can kit themselves out in the shop in Frontierland Bonanza, Stetson hat to boot spurs.

Accommodation

It's a bit expensive to stay at the resort itself, although it is a very real fun. Disneyland Hotel on Main Street USA is the most expensive, while Davey Crockett Ranch is the option cheaper. The log cabins are cozy and about quarter of an hour's drive from the park. Other hotels outside the park include the Radisson SAS, Kyriad, Holiday Inn and Pierre et Vacances Hotel.
