Marvel Comics Hardcovers
Looking to start reading Marvel Comics. Where do I begin?
I recently played Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 with a friend of mine, and for someone who never went to the superhero genre that I was really captivated and completely changed my mind. Now I'm really interested in reading some of Marvel Comics, but I have no idea where to start. If someone could suggest something, preferably some sort of hardback complete set or something to that effect would be great. Thanks
I would suggest a civil war for a start. then you can skip back or forward from there. If you are interested the beginings dating back to the 40s began with the Human Torch (different) and Namor. There is also Captain America. comics older (maybe 40, 70), id suggest comics online (htmlcomics.com) I do not like it because its not the same as reading the original, but you get the story. If you are interested in trade paper back you can get a lot of 60 and 70 that are more expensive as collected. I still do not like, but you can. you can find them anywhere online. My suggestion would www.fearlessreadersonline.com they have a wide variety of comics to choose and not just $ 1 each. they have a graphic novel / section tpb these are all 1 / 2 Off cover so you can get them cheap id highly recommend checking it out.
