Who could scan and send me a page of small ads, 1970 in Marvel Comics?
They were just the best – if I remember right, they always I had the same tacky ads for "I used to be the guy on the beach that has sand in its face …" programs like weight training, etc. And even in the stories Marvel Comics UK, always used to talk about things totally appropriate sales tax, etc. I'll organize e-mail later.
Yes old ads comics were great. It was not just wonder though. Most comics from the '50s through the late 70's had ads like that. Lament can not scan any for you, but check out Scott Shaw! "Oddball Comics" (just type Scott Shaw! Or Oddball Comics on Yahoo search.) Scott often finds old ads as part of your article. you can find what you're looking for there. Even if you are not articles fun to read.
