Copyright law help with opening a store?
I was thinking of opening a store you want to use the Marvel heroes. What are copyright laws involved with this? For example, the names of certain products of a character (such as flash chips, for example) Similarly, using fathead decals or poster style the walls of our store. I understand from other articles that the photos are ok, if you have permission from the photographer. It would be a picture of a Batman to be more cool? seem irrelevant? Other questions would be how I would be able to get permission to make these kinds of things, if it were illegal. The second question would be if I were able to incorporate minimum of comic shops this video game store, would have to change the legality of this? For example, I imagine that my local book store comic does not need permission to have a poster of man spider, as he sells Marvel Comics, Spider-Man. This is a tactic that I could use for legality? You need a license Marvel to do that, but not because of copyright. As long as you buy and not play any of the posters or stickers or whatever you have to shop decoration, you did nothing to protect copyrights. However, the markings cover the use of the trademark property of third parties in business. Naming characters after the products Marvel Marvel all articles and putting a reasonable person the impression that the store is authorized by Marvel, thus diluting its brand. The reason comic shops do not need do any of that is because companies expect their comic book items to be used to advertise his comics and on the other hand, items involving several companies, so there is no reasonable connection between the store and Marvel. If you ran a comics store that sold other things, maybe even a restaurant with a shop comics, you may not need a license, but this is a gray area. I would recommend getting an opinion from a licensed attorney before using tags business of any company in your business.
