Acorn Green

History
Acorn Green first appeared in 1986 in a series of comics, with a range of plush figures that came with accessories and clothes from the following Tomy. The ethos of the characters was one of caring for our forests and woodlands, and supported the desire of the time that children have positive, non-violent, the creative influences. Each character had his "own special friend" – or a bee, butterfly or ladybug that could carry messages the entire timber, to call help or scraps. The characters have various adventures and misadventures involving either a social or environmental issue that was resolved by bringing together and use their resources to stop the bandits, avoid disaster, and finally to save the forest. The stories promoted good values of teamwork, taking care of forests and wildlife, and friendship.
