Marvel Comics Civil War Series

Wanting to get into the Marvel Universe comic book, where do I start?
I've been watching some of the oldest of the animated series (Spider-Man (1994), X-Men) and I decided that I want to start reading comics. Seeing as I have no where to start I thought I'd ask some people here. I'm really interested in the series of Spider-Man and I heard a lot about the Civil War Marvel, which seems quite interesting.
No, not you. Comics are for children, and stories are intertwined and intentionally complicated so you have to purchase each one. Even those not going on a very long way and at the end of the day still are the stories of superheroes. Also minutes for three dollars, you get dozens of entertainment. That adds up. If you have read the separated from the rest of the universe, like All Star Superman, The Runaways, or "Ultimate" series. You can often find them in the library.
