As the water runs triathlons point?

This is my first triathlon and I am starting with the great Long Course Wildflower Half-Ironman (not worry that I'm very fit, I will not die). I've never done one of these before and am interested in how the water waves are coordinated. I was watching some youtube vids and mentioned that the pro come first, but how do the rest work? I'm 20 so when I went in? It is based on age or results or what?! Your help would be much obliged!

Depends on how many vacancies there are race and that the composition of each wave is. His best tip may be talking to someone who did the race last year. You'll probably be combined with others in their age group and sex. They can match men and women of age – or race director will not.The probably combining various age groups, in order to make the sizes of the very same waves. Sometimes, large groups of age really torn between the waves, but this is not the preferred path. You can not say that the waves will be in. The race director may choose to put the oldest ages where the previous waves – to minimize the total travel time for the race. This is one more consideration that the weather is expected to be especially hot for the later waves. Pro does not always go in first place, but it is often the case. I did a race last year had to go into the past – but they had a race course a little different than the rest of us. I would like can give you a more definitive answer, but I can not. It may be that the race director does not determine the composition of jobs yet. You may not know until the week preceding the race. Good luck with your race! Add: I just realized that you might need a few more logistical details – different from what will be its wave … The management of race typically opens a section of water to warm before the race. This could be a section that is roped off and will remain open for warm-up, even after the first wave was off. Before the start of the first wave, multiple waves of people's value will probably be water heating. An announcer will ask each wave in turn, the queue at the starting line. Most races I've been having to assign a different color for each wave of the CAP, so that everyone can say if you're on track. The announcer might say, "Men 20-24 and 25-29 should be the beginning. Women 30-34 should be on deck" or something like that. The waves are spaced several minutes apart (the size and spacing of waves varies from breed to breed.) Therefore, a wave will begin to swim, then the next wave will fill starting line and get ready for the start. I looked at his race and he says there will be 18 vacancies. That means you need to think about when your vacancy will decide when you want to enter the water to heat. If you are in a later wave, you may not want to begin heating up over half the seats already out! For a long course, I would have wetsuit and be ready to begin in 10 to 15 minutes before my long-wavelength (greater racing => shorter warmup). Most breeds I did we get in the water – to the waist. Other breeds that you can get on the beach and run into the water. Again – which varies from breed to breed and location. The variables are part of the challenge of triathlon.
