the whole course. Water so clear, the background is visible. The best seats to watch the divers on the ocean floor, waving to you. So making the turn the boat's captain beans with heat even more oppressive when its absorbed and reflected by the lava that monopolizes the landscape. In very hot days Ironman, waves heat are clearly visible as you struggle to see the road ahead. Then there is the long climb to the turn-around that is much more than just another hill. The warm winds sweeping in from the ocean and can play it on the floor in a second if you allow yourself to lose concentration. Finally, on the way home and waiting anxiously for the tailwinds that will surely come, but somehow never materialize.

It is with a great sense of relief and achievement that one reaches the transition from bike to run just head back out of the oven of nature once again.

The course of implementation, fortunately finishing and make the final stroke on the same land that saw much drama throughout the year. Dave Scott Tinley and twins Puntos. Mark Allen and Julie Moss. Erin Baker, Paula Newby-Fraser and who can forget Laurie Bowden and her husband, Peter.

So much history and so many big names. If it were possible for each Ironman for competing in this sacred ground. It and so moving an experience one can never forget. If you are really "Ironstruck" should be your mission to be part of the granddaddy of all Ironman events worldwide. -Ironman Hawaii – more than one race.
