Ironman Hd

Why does DTS sound better than TrueHD?
If you are saying no, let me tell you my story. I have a PS3 connected via HDMI only my Yamaha 863 and HD Plasma. When I play a TRUE HD Blu-ray, for example, Ironman, Rambo 4, he gives me the powerful clear sound that is not DTS. I remembered this fact when The other day I put on X-MEN with DTS sound (not blu-ray). The sound is phenomenal and crisp, yet powerful. The opening scene where Magneto is doubling the iron gates almost tears the paint off my wall. Why is this the case? It is a matter of configuration? This is a PS3 problem? Btw, I must stress that played X-Men in $ Pioneer 160 DVD player with HDMI. I do not use the PS3.
It all depends on the film. You have to compare apples to apples. Compare the same movie with DTS and Dolby True HD. It also depends on the speakers. If you have a weak sub and surrounds, then you may not hear much difference. I have not seen yet in Ironman Bluray, but what reveiwers say that some good LFE packages. Maybe you are downsampling audio. You may want to check your installation of audio output (in Settings Sound), and manually configure the PS3. Make sure that Linear PCM 5.1 and 7.1 96KHz and 192KHz are selected.
