Ironman Dvd Release

Will the Oscars have influence on the release dates of DVD?

Me and my freinds rented Harold and Kumar 2 and remembered that he left around the same day as Ironman so I was wondering why he had not even heard about a DVD release date for the Ironman. (Just found your September BTW 30) My friend said it was because Ironman is likely to be nominated for an Oscar for visual effects. then they have to obey the rules of DVD release for Oscar win film there is a code that the Academy has or is it just traditional to wait until the Oscar buzz for the launch of DVD movies for the press extra.

Not there are rules on the subject. Many films that could not get much attention in the DVD you wait for the Oscars in hopes that the applications will eventually boost sales DVD. In the case of Iron Man, this is not really a factor, the film was a huge success in theaters that have a lot of publicity, and will do very well on DVD, where you choose to release it. Of course, since it is still making money in theaters, there is no hurry (unlike Harold and Kumar, who came and went quickly.) My guess is that they will wait a little longer to keep milking the theatrical release of Iron Man, then release it in time for holiday shoppers to buy DVDs as gifts.
