My companions and I are thinking about going on a cycling holiday for 3-4 days UK. Any ideas on how to start?

Any websites, books or sources of information that we can use to plan our vacation would be helpful. Also suggestions of routes and areas to visit, where there will be a lot things to see, good local food and perhaps a great pub or two along the way is a bonus!

What kind of bike do you go?
