Jonas Burgert was born in 1969 in Berlin. A fantastic cast of characters, both animal and human watch a bright white orb, the prize of Mondjäger (or "Moon Hunter") referred to in the title of the painting. The scene drawn in layers, with your lighting dramatic, exotic costumes and sweeping, step ladder-like, is wonderfully theatrical. "To do something weird, like catching a planet, we must first change the mind and body to become part of a ritual, "says Burgert." One needs spiritual copies of oneself in order to have a dialogue between the characters interior ".
Jonas Burgert is a painting about female empowerment, and the polar instincts of intimacy and aggression. Six women are gathered in a strange environment, its dress and choices of each weapon representative of a different moment in time from prehistory to the present. They sit, squat and stand calmly as if discussing some kind of violent offense, the suggestion to come from the central figure caught in the crosshairs blue. strange creatures move between them, while behind, in a scene of confusion wallpaper, gold lattice, hangs a constellation of spherical forms, a conscious juxtaposition by the artist "the chaos of meditation nature and the elements of inter-human cultures.
