My Childhood Education 2009 Summer Experience

This past summer, I had the pleasure of visiting Home Away from Home "in Stockbridge, GA the center serves about 25 children between ages 3 months to 4 years old. The six workers are perhaps the most attentive and charming child care workers who I already knew. Between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00, Home Away From Home offers impeccable love and care for children in the local church, which is located, and neighboring districts.
Not only Home Away From Home provides a caring environment for growth, but the director of the center is an unending effort to ensure the safety of each student. The first steps towards adequate security are made by carefully selecting qualified caregivers. In the mist of them having fun learning how they played after the first incident the teacher instructed the children and repeated the importance of rules and the consequences of not following them. Each child receives two chances to correct their actions by apologize and / or ask forgiveness. The latest incident happened during the lunch hour. Michael wanted to sit by Tye, but Chris was already seated so he started pulling the chair demanding "I'm sitting here by Tye." As an overall review of this center, there were several things I like about it. Both What impressed me most was the compassion that was shown among employees, children and parents. However, along with my tastes, I noticed a few things that I disliked, especially when children had refused to play on certain centers in the game for free. One day, Trinidad and Joey were in the game's central block, when Mrs. Reed came along and insisted that put them up and sit and watch TV or go play with other children. That's another thing that I did not like with the TV on all the time. I felt that teachers prevented from attending the children successfully because they were watching TV. The latest criticism came when Mrs. Shirley started to prepare lunch, Mrs. Reed was to watch their children, but most of the time she was doing the paper work, and the burden was on Ms. Pearlie that made the adult-child relationship occurs.
Finally, after observing this center for two days, some of suggestions that provide a better quality of service would be, to hire another full-time employee for the children "of class. By doing this, there would be no need to worry about adult-child relationship, Mrs. Shirley could concentrate on getting your meals cooked, and Mrs. Reed could not concentrate on doing your work on paper, may increase the rate of child care by $ 25.00 and would still be lower than other centers to cover cost.
