You think the Army cares for you?

Because I think they are doing a fantastic job. I've been in four years and know I'm being forced to take emergency leave because my father died this morning. I am amazed at how quickly all worked out to get me and my side family. They paid big money for plane tickets, all I had to pay was $ 218 out of pocket. When the mouth of the poorly the Army, I know they always have something positive to say about it, no matter how I feel that it sucks. Any similar experiences?

Oh, yeah. Was stationed in Alaska, where my father had a heart attack. He had a heart attack in late afternoon on a Friday …. Saturday afternoon I was on a plane to Illinois, courtesy of U.S. Army and the Red Cross. I am a cynic, so I was shocked that everyone (on top of my unit) was late / come on Saturday only for an E-5 with a family emergency.
