Top ten attractions in Guilin
Li River
Originally from Maoer Shan (Mountain Cat) in the municipality of Xing'an, north of Guilin, Li River winds its way south for about 437 km, passing through Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle and Zhaoping, and finally meets Xi (West) River of Wuzhou. This area boasts the largest and most beautiful scenic in China and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The waterway of 83 km along Guilin to Yangshuo is like the work of an artist. The stage is decorated with striking mountains, steep cliffs, fantastic caves and farming villages, and is lined with bamboo. In a Chinese poem reads: "The river is a ribbon of green silk, and the hills are jade hooks."
Reed Flute Cave
Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) is a fascinating natural sculpture gallery (the cave formations of limestone) now enhanced by multicolored lights, which was one of many interesting attractions Guilin for over 1200 years. He ranks as one of the top four tourism sites in the city.
Reed Flute Cave is situated on the northwest outskirts of the city of Guilin (only about 4 km from the center). The entrance is located by Ludi (Reed Flute) Road on the south side of Guangming (Bright Light) Hill. The cave got its name from a type of growth outside of rush, which can be made into melodious flutes. The cave is filled with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites and rock formations of weird and wonderful ways.
Elephant Trunk Hill
Elephant Trunk Hill, also known as Elephant Hill, is located at the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River in the southern central city of Guilin. It looks like a huge elephant stretch your body and drinking water, hence the name. Elephant Trunk Hill is the symbol of Guilin and its karst landscape.
Seven Star Park
Seven Star Park takes its name from its seven peaks which are defined as the constellation Ursa Major (with your wrist bent forward). The park is located on the east side of Li River in central city of Guilin. Park Attractions include: Seven Star Cave, Dragon Cave Hiding, Flower Bridge, the Zoo, mapping Mosque, Forest of Stelae Guihaia and more. Covering an area of 1.34 square kilometers, is the largest park in Guilin, and contains some of the most beautiful sights of the city.

Daxue City Former
Located southwest of Guilin, a tourist hit the coast of the Li River. Daxue is a city blessed with long-preserved traditional Chinese architecture shiny stone-paved streets. First built in the Qin Dynasty more than 2000 years ago, daxue city began to flourish during the Ming Dynasty, when it became the commercial center of the region.
The main sights here include paved stone streets, Wanshi Bridge (Bridge of Longevity), many old buildings and the dock of a century. The main street, measuring 2.5 km long and 2 meters wide, extends across the city. This narrow street, with its stone worn by time and steps, is full of character. Wanshi Bridge is a bridge of one arch built in the Ming Dynasty. Along the river is very well preserved buildings of Ming and Qing. These structures of wood, decorated with beautifully carved eaves and doors and windows are still many homes for the residents. A tour will offer a glimpse of leisure for the traditional courtyard, where the grandparents are sometimes seen telling stories to a bunch of small children. Thirteen docks remain the Ming Dynasty, between the which five of the best preserved still work.
Xingping
Located 27 km from Yangshuo, on the east bank of Li River, is a Xingping ancient city with a history of more than 1300 years. Besides the well-preserved architecture from the Ming dynasty, which dominated the city, and fine wood sculpture dating back to over five hundred years, Xingping have some of the best natural landscapes around the area a little better than that in Yangshuo. The seven mountains surrounding the village, two stone guarded the entrance to keep the place a spiritual sanctuary outside the modern world.
There are lovely scenes such as "Pretty Woman Looking at" Mirror General "unsheathe his sword "and" Drinking Carp River. "
Merryland
Guilin Merry Land World is a project built by Mr. Ma Lin Zhi. This project was planned in 1992 and built in 1997. It is situated in Xin'an about an hour from Guilin and covers an area of more 70 square kilometers.

Merryland Theme Park
The park covers 90 acres and has five sections: Happy Town, American Wild West, Dream World, Pirate Village, South Pacific area and forest area. All dress, food, sightseeing, exhibitions and entertainment facilities in each section are themed and very realistic.
