Parents – if you were looking for a babysitter …?

Potentially not want to hire someone just because she is pregnant? I love kids and a nanny has been on and off for four years. I have great references and have recently been responding to families in my area that are or looking for a part-time or full time nanny. I make this very clear in my first email I am expecting my second child in late July, because I would never want hide it from someone and get on the wrong foot. I'm wondering if I should even bother or not, though. Want to hire someone knowing that you are pregnant ladies and will have about 4-6 weeks off for maternity leave in July / August? Just curious:)

I would not hire him. I would then hire someone else to cover him when the baby is born. Too much of an inconvenience for me. Maybe you could look for another type of work you can leave when the baby is born, and then start nannying when the baby is old enough.
