Fantastic 4 July 2005

I'm doing everything I can? Husband abroad?
Asked by my friend, her husband is an Army helicopter IP now in Iraq. She said: "We left the Active Duty Army in 2001. As a civilian, he was working as a MedEvac pilot EMS. After a month of switching to a new house, he received the news (which was the July 4, 2005) that was being recalled to active duty. He would be out of our 10th anniversary. The children and I was relatively isolated insofar as the military and support are concerned. I fell into a fantastic community that will help whenever he can and I am grateful. I only ask because there is really nobody to ask … What people in our situation no? I'm doing everything I can? "
While as children and are healthy mentally and physically you're in good shape. Regarding military benefits just make sure you stay in touch with family support and their chain of command here at home. They will be better able to tell you where it is and when, and also point you in the right direction for any other services you might need. While away from a post or base (which btw they are near an installation, but it is another branch that are still eligible to receive services for them) that your husband's family support group will have a fair amount of events for families deployed. Contact your local USO and they also have many things for kids to do. And if you're looking to help others in your situation USO is a great place to volunteer. Amanda
