Camera 500D – Fantastic dslr
I bought this camera about two weeks ago and it has exceeded all expectations. Being my first DSLR I've tried to make sure I bought the best camera for my money. Initially, I would buy the 450D in price but a few extra megapixels and better screen (which is awesome) I swung. I'll try not to repeat the previous analysis, but my observations are as follows;
In many ways this camera does all the work for you. You can quite happily use the basic zone modes (Modes of self) and take great photos or just use them as you begin to deal with the complexity of the manual modes.
The camera is also aesthetically stunning. It is slightly more rounded than previous models, but as a consequence is also a touch smaller, especially the grip. To someone like me who has large hands that still is not too much of a problem, but if you feel like this could be a problem, then one should correct battery grip this situation.
In two weeks I probably charged this camera once and it took almost a thousand pictures .. long battery life, considering performance.
The buttons on target = "_self" title = "Canon EOS 500D" Camera 500D> are intelligently thought except in the live preview, where the 'button' * serves the AF button and when the filming of the live view button start / stop recording.
The HD video mode is pretty good – I do not consider this feature at the time of purchase, but is very handy for the case.
The only problems I had is with memory cards. I originally was using a 2GB I already had, but this was very small, but recently bought a new 8 GB, which holds about 1,100 JPEG images. When you buy a card, do not go for the cheapest go as fast (class 6). SanDisk pattern will take approximately 15-20 burst then slow down or stop.
All in all fantastic DSLR I would recommend to anyone, especially if you take pictures of sporting events and landscapes like Canon really seems to capture vibrant color and action as well. This is by far the best camera in this price range also when compared to a D90 eg.
