With the wide selection of TV channels available on cable or satellite, viewers have a wide variety of TV programs and movies to choose from. But what you should watch? Here's a hint, anything with Johnny Depp in what is usually the way to go. Johnny Depp is one of the main actors in history Hollywood. He developed not only a great dramatic actor, but also a great actor as well. There are several terrific films being shown in Cable and satellite television channels around the globe. The few previous articles discussed the classics Depp "Edward Scissorhands" "Donnie Brasco", "Don Juan DeMarco" and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" This article will discuss two of its most insane, but perhaps better movie choices: "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and "Ed Wood".
Director Terry Gilliam's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" became a cult classic over the years. The film is based on the book written by Hunter S. Thompson, who also wrote the 1970 prequel, "Where the Buffalo Roam" starring Bill Murray. Johnny Depp does a fantastic job as gonzo journalist Raoul Duke, who embarks on a journey full of drugs to Las Vegas to cover a race. With its too whacked out, muttering lawyer, Dr. Gonzo, interpreted by Benicio del Toro. With both out of their minds in ether, mescaline and a lot of other things, Duke and Gonzo take full advantage of their trip to Sin City at all times sure to freak out the other tourists with their drug induced an eccentric behavior. This movie was not initially as successful as he is perceived. It acclaim game as the years went by in much of his brilliant dialogue. There are many quotable quotes from this movie and some memorable appearances on top and coming stars Tobey McGuire and Cameron Diaz. In general, the dialogue is what sets this movie over the top. A large part of the movie takes place at the head of Raoul Duke, allowing that the public look at the psyche of the head of Thompson.
"Ed Wood" is another favorite cult that represented the first Since Depp portrays a person who was alive. Ed Wood was famously considered the worst director in history and is known for the aging star of "Dracula" of movies, Bela Lugosi, his last chance at stardom. This film tells the following peculiarity, cross-dressing, Wood Lugosi as he tries to help regain his stardom. Depp plays the freaking brilliant Ed Wood. Martin Landau also turns in a fantastic performance as Bela Lugosi, including nailing his accent legendary. This movie was possibly a little ahead of its time, but received a lot of praise from moviegoers.
These two films are currently being screened at the optimal TV cable and satellite. Make sure you keep an eye on your TV guide to make sure you do not miss any of these fantastic films. Contact your supplier local service, if you want to get cable or satellite.
