Unrealistic Dreams

Let's say Jeff earns P25, 000 a month today.

But Jeff dreams of earning P100, 000 a month one day.

Many people will call it "unrealistic."

But in my book, that's good. I wrote in a previous post that from my experience, unrealistic dreams attract more resources and commitment, because it is more exciting.

But I agree, the dream of earning P100, 000 per month is frightening. Like flying to the moon.

But like Jordan, Jeff should bite her size.

As Jeff surf the net a lot, he wants to start a internet business. Specifically, he wants to construct a website that will earn with Google ads. His goal: Earn P25, 000 every month.

Its third business is your business network marketing. Its goal: Create a passive income of P25, 000 every month.

Your enterprise quarter is linked to their hobby cars sold second hand. His uncle has been doing this for years, earning hundreds of thousands every month, and promised to teach him. Many years ago, I dreamed that I would have 10 special ministries for the poorest of the poor. Not one. Not two. Not three. But ten years!

I wanted to care for abandoned elderly, visiting the prisoners, the house orphans, and send street children to school, I also wanted to build houses for the urban poor and establish a program of microcredit for poor women … I wanted so much!

My dream was nuts. It was absolutely insane.

Well, today, that dream is no longer a dream.

Here's an update: We now have seven ministries for the poorest of the poor. (Yes, we have three more to go!) Here's one secret I'll discuss with you later: I was wrong. I do not even have to start ministries. All I had to do was partner with fantastic friends who were already doing what I wanted to do. In other words, I bite-sized!

Focus On The One Thing

As Jeff should not start immediately Four companies, I immediately got 10 ministries.

I just focused on one thing.

To me, that was Anawim, our home for the elderly abandoned.

For three years, I had to live on a piece of land not had nothing but cogon grass, no running water and electricity.

Along with the volunteers, who lived in nipa huts and cared for the poorest of the poor. We picked them up from the streets and cared for them like ours. We made many mistakes, I can write a book about them. (Do not worry, I will not.)

Friend, what is your thing?

If you have an unrealistic dream, focus on one thing.

Let me give you another example.

When I wanted to earn more money, I went into half-dozen companies I sold herbal juice, engine oil, plans for the memorial, I put a fish ball cart, built an ice cream parlor, and put a hotdog stand. Result? I lost money. Big time.

I learned my lesson. I was doing too much, too soon.

Now I learned that at the beginning of the journey, I must focus on one thing.

Once a thing was stable, I moved to the only thing that comes.

Result? Now I am enjoying multiple streams of income: (1) Business Seminar, (2) Buildings, (3) Internet Marketing Business, (4) Education, (5) Financial Services (6), Securities Market, and (7) Mutual Funds.

But do not start with seven.

It all started with one.

Let me ask again: What is your thing?

Find a Dream Team

Find a Dream Team is so powerful it's almost like cheating. (Not OK, it's really cheating. But I'm using this word to shock him into action.)

Believe me, when you have an unrealistic dream, you will be forced to seek a Dream Team.

After 10 years of construction Anawim, I knew I was in big trouble.

Because I could not have more than 10 years to build my second ministry to the poor! I did the math: If my goal was 10 ministries, then it would take me 100 years to realize my dream.

And then it hit me: Why create ministries from from scratch? Why not partner with other friends who were already doing what I wanted to do?

So I was wrong. I looked at the Dream Team, I had my passion for the poor.

Anawim is now led by Tim Duran, and an incredible staff.

After that, a partnership with the ministry for street children, he worries, led by my friend Jodean Sola.

After that, in partnership with Gawad Kalinga to build a village in Montalban beside Anawim.

After this, in partnership with Rey Ortega and his Alay Foundation, a program of scholarships for poor children, and his orphanage Tahanan.

And together, we are expanding all these ministries.
