Fantastic 4 Dvd Release

Why do movie studios release some movies only on Blu-ray here in the U.S. but in other countries HD DVD?

Example: Resident Evil 4 and Fantastic only will be available here in the U.S. Blu-ray, but they are available in German import HD DVD. Why? this so called format war, the studios would not want to appeal to all consumers whether they like HD or Blu-ray?

Looks like they did for DVDs, just force them out over people and make it become the next necessary thing for politicians to friends who have stock in these companies can make more profits ..
