Fantastic 4 Doctor Doom Mask

Balistik Blabber: Dr. Death … Steve Williams Aka
Greetings and welcome Balistik Blabber 23! This series of articles is called "Ex-WWE Talent ", where I dug up over fighters who were left with the company World Wrestling Entertainment and moved … or not … Today we take on one of the biggest mistakes of World Wrestling Entertainment … EEEVEEERRR! This is the man who popularized the gutwrench powerbomb before Jack Swagger (which in part helped to inspire this problem) …
"DOCTOR DEATH "STEVE WILLIAMS!
Name does not ring a bell? I really can not blame him … and after a few paragraphs you'll see why. Another addition to the brain and brawn package, "STEVEN WILLIAMS graduated from the University of Oklahoma, bringing with him the title" All American "to its excellent performance in football. At the same time, he competed in amateur wrestling where he nearly won a National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament. That denied him this achievement? Future Olympic wrestler Bruce Baumgartner … It took an Olympic caliber wrestler to beat Williams … should only be enough for anyone to assess your skills!
Early on, Williams had considered the idea of professional wrestling … so much that he thought of his gimmick in the ring, inspired by the life of the college: or he lost a bet or something, but once he was made to fight wearing a hockey mask, a subject that made one of his coaches called "Doctor Death" (Jason ?)… Thus, one of pro wrestling is more tricks clearly was born! He was scouted and trained by Bill Watts, a veteran of wrestling who feuded with Bruno Sammartino in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and the man who established his own promotion called "Mid-South Wrestling" (which later evolved into World Championship Wrestling) in which Williams made his debut in professional wrestling. In the Center-South, he joined the WWF superstars eventual Andre the Giant and Ted DiBiase, respectively, even winning the Mid-South Tag Team titles with the last one! Once the promotion was renamed the Universal Wrestling Federation (UWF) and Williams finally reached the pinnacle of business, defeating Big Bubba Rogers the Heavyweight title UWF!
Over the years Williams would be able to fight in almost every major wrestling promotions to live and die … I think … In National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), he found the stars even more future WWF as Barry Windham, Ron Simmons DAMN !!!), (…… Dustin Rhodes (aka Goldust) road warriors and even the Steiner brothers. He also participated in a crazy game: the "Triple Cage Tower of Doom" game "Great American Bash" event of 1988! That same year, in style at "Starrcade 1988 event, won the opening game of the show and won the NWA United States Tag Team Championship with Kevin Sullivan (One of, if not, the biggest rival of Chris Benoit) vs. "The fantastic" team of Rogers and Bobby Fulton tommy! It should be noted, however, that in his early days WCW, Williams used to fight against Sullivan, who along with Simmons and Mike Rotunda (aka "Irwin R. Schyster") formed "The Varsity Club stable." He would later join the stability leading to the NWA title win. After they were removed from the title and broke, he left the NWA and made the fateful trip to Japan … where he signed up with All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW)! In an unbelievable match on March 6, 1990 he and his partner Terry Gordy defeated Stan Hansen and Genichiro Tenryu to win the "All Japan tag titles! Their alliance was called "The Miracle Violence Connection (MVC. .. not to be confused with a game arcade fighting crossover!) and became one of the most successful teams international brand of all time! His accomplishments include five-time All Japan Unified World Tag Team Champions, two-time World's Strongest Tag Team League winner (1990 and 1991), WCW World Tag Team Champions after beating the Steiner Brothers, in 1992, and NWA World Tag champions beat Dustin Rhodes (GOOOLLLD. USSST ..!) and Barry Windham same year! Many dispute whether or not the NWA recognizes this particular rule but we will not dive into any other. However, I would point out another claim that apparently there was a time in his career that Williams was completely UNDEFEATED IN THE U.S. soil for a DECADE …!!! The records do not exactly point it out, but most of the 90s, all you had was pin fall wins or draws, no losses … between the different promotions twist … wow … I myself did not know until I did my research. Real or not, which is an even better record in relation the title of several kingdoms, in my opinion!
After 1992, he returned to Japan and exploded … NO, not literally FOOL (you know who are)! To put it simply, Williams was on a roll: in 1993, the MVC January 30 won the team of Mitsuharu Misawa (TAAAIGAAAH DURAIBAAA!) And Toshiaki Kawada (GAAAMENGIRIII!) To win the All Japan Tag Team titles. They just beat an impressive All Japan tag team, the higher you can? By beating Misawa one-on-one to win the prestigious award "All Japan Triple Crown Heavyweight Title" That's How! Williams won her first and only Triple Crown against "Master of the stiff elbow" on July 28, 1994, obliterating the reign of mind-numbing, nearly two years Misawa as Triple Crown champion! What separated this game is like other games Misawa Williams prepared for this fight. Other challengers would just get shot elbow Misawa and play some lame counter-attack … usually resulting in a heartbeat. What Williams did was different: every time I tried those shots Misawa elbow, Williams gave him a push, not just a regular walk "all you have? "… pushing a very strong PUSH! Misawa He knocked off balance and completely messed up their offense principal! That, and some vicious drivers behind the fall, dangerous suplexes German and of course some badass "Doctor BOMB's Williams won the victory! No, you did not misread that: in Japan, the maneuver finishing needs to be applied more than the average of two times to be effective … Yeah ~ Anyway, after what can easily be considered a brutal game, Who else would challenge him for his shiny new belt? Why, nothing less than a young man, then wearing orange trunks KOBASHI named Kenta, who is fighting an effort to brilliant, but losing. Finally, after a reign of 86 days, Williams lost the Triple Crown to Toshiaki Kawada in October 1994. Having regard to the talent he has faced during his reign, Williams has enough tasted every bit of all of Japan had to offer: a pleasant mixture of chops Kobashi, Misawa some sharp elbows and a dash of brutal kicks Kawada … and lived to tell the tale! Other AJPW gaijin "(foreign) wrestlers who have had the pleasure to join with this monster player including Johnny Ace, Gary Albright and Bam Bam Bigelow.
In 1998, Williams was encouraged by fellow Oklahoma native Jim Ross subscribe to the WWF he made. With the sole purpose of selling its brute force and dangerous techniques, the creative minds of the federation created the Brawl for All Tournament! The plan was to have Williams browse the other entries, winning the event and gain a kind of "powerhouse" gimmick. First phase went fine and dandy when he beat Carl Quellet, but next … something that was totally wrong … Williams has been "knocked out" (Note the quotes) and legitimately hurt by Bart Gunn. The result was a blow to the pride and all his big plans to boost postponed indefinitely … The only consolation I got from the confusion is a few more months with the WWF until he was released from his contract … a screw up!
Fortunately, not all ties were severed between Williams and the WWE. Five (5) years after the '98 unpleasant embarrassment, he appeared on a WWE house show twice (23 and May 24, 2003), winning and losing against Lance Storm resulting in a tie between the two! A month and was for a proposal to become a coach was made to Williams, but not able to reach an ending. On September 19, 2003, he participated in the "Major League Wrestling (MLW) War Games" as a member of "The Army Funkin '(led by Terry Funk, members include Sabu, Sandman and Steve Williams) vs. "The Extreme Horsemen (led by Steve Corino, Justin members include Credible, Barry Windham and Arn Anderson) that the Army Funkin won. Williams also had the reputation of being a part of one of the first events of professional wrestling each time to be held in China! On December 30, 2003, NWA Mid-Atlantic tour there where he beat Terry Taylor for "NWA Mid-Atlanctic Heavyweight title! This guy is LOADED with titles! Everything is so good that you think life was perfect for him … and you'd be dead wrong … In April 2004, he announced that he was fighting a throat cancer after a shooting game K-1 (kickboxing federation) Japan … Treatment involved surgery to remove a growth in his throat as well as possible suppression of his voice box to get to it … scary stuff! I will summarize the battle for you: he beat the crap out of cancer LIVING!
Steve "Dr. Death "Williams had an impressive career in professional wrestling, a number of titles, matches and memorable, unforgettable moments and lots of drama OMG Manly only Professional wrestling can provide. Just recently, in September 2008 he announced his retirement from the company. He also sometimes makes appearances for the "Sooner World Class Wrestling (SWCW) in their federation Oklahoma City, wrote his biography entitled "How Dr. Death became Dr. Life" and is an official regular on-site airport Southwest Airlines there. Despite the lack of charisma and appeal sought in today's superstars, Williams created a class of his own: he worked hard … saw their health … is not quite a face … is not entirely a leap … nor completely neutral! Champion! The WWE can never include it in your hall of fame, but no matter … Steven Williams did not need to prove everything and anything! Even if the only people who remember him are his closest friends, colleagues, and biggest fans … same number that can hit the fan boys of other wrestlers less frequent outside today!
Thanks for your time! Tune in next … errr … Time for another trip down memory lane with me as we deal with artists more ex-WWE!
