How do I keep the insignificance of turning into a fight?

My wife and I have been married three years in April. We are young, both with 22, and has a son who will be on January 2. (For those who are realizing that we were even married, but just like to say that the honeymoon has worked LOL) Anyway, I work (3 shifts) and she stays home with him. Money is tight, but we pay our bills and splurge once in a while. What I'm getting at is we can not get fights in the past. Or are we fantastic and could be a model for other young couples or are fighting (bad). But heres my problem the most absolutely nothing! ie, I did the dishes in the right order (remember, baby items, glassware, cutlery, plates and bowls and pots and pans) or I get very angry her to wake me to say it out instead of just letting her and let me sleep. Our fights are fights arent tiny problems (fights), compared the other real problems, but turn them into a 3-4 hour ordeal. How can we stop them in what they are (only difference) and not in a war?
