What are your top 10 worst comic book heroes that have been adapted to the movies?

Some people say “The Hulk” (’03) was horrible (they’re remaking it). The following 7 movies are considered the worst:

What are some of the comic book movies that you consider “the worst”?
They’re looking for a new actor to play Superman. Do you think Dean Cain would be better than anyone else to play Superman in the new movie? Dean is a little older (his new series is Las Vegas).

Sadly, almost EVERY movie that’s been made about comic book heroes ends up sucking. Either the story is lame, the acting is lame, the costumes, sets, and effects are lame, or the people making the film focus WAY too hard on making the movie a commercialized, blockbuster cash machine…instead of just focusing on making a good movie! The films end up taking themselves too seriously. In the worst cases, the film is guilty of all of the above.

There are lots of bad “comic book” movies: The first four Batman movies all sucked; I didn’t even bother to see the one with Bale. I saw the first Spiderman…it was OK, but not great; The sequels looked cheesy. The first X-Men movie was decent; The rest all sucked. Fantastic Four looked lame. The original Superman movie was OK, but the most recent one was absolutely horrid! The Shadow had potential, and even a few cool moments, but was pretty bad overall. Don’t even get me started on Hulk or Daredevil…

On the other hand, Sin City was great. As was the Crow, despite its flaws. The Phantom is probably one of the best “comic book” movies of all. The Phantom was the very first superhero, from newspaper serials of the 1930′s. They were made mostly for kids; They were exciting, yet fun and a bit campy. The film doesn’t take itself to seriously and manages to capture the “comic book” feel of the old serials. Is the film a bit silly? Sure! But it accomplished what it set out to do…which is more than you can say about most “comic book” movies.
The Mask made for a good film too, despite the fact they toned it down for screen. Lastly, V for Vendetta is yet another film that tops the “best” list. Well done, all around!

Supposedly, they are making a film of Iron Man, one of the greatest comic book characters of all times. While I have high hopes, I won’t be the least bit suprised if Hollywood manages to butcher this one too.
