What is your all time favorite DSLR/SLR prime lens?
Mine is the Nikon 50mm AF F/1.4.
An awesome synergy of affordable price and fantastic light gathering ability. Attached to APS sensor size DSLR it makes a perfect, affordable portrait lens.

Just one? Ok then great to see some photographers here! The EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM for portraiture on full frame. Most of my time is spent on sidelines so the EF 600mm f/4L IS USM is my favourite work lens. For pleasure on a full frame the EF 50mm f / 1.2L USM, if I had to choose just one then its the one.
