Captain America Volume 5 Comics

2008 February 12

Comics Captain America?

This is about the chronological order of Captain America Comics. I have # 601, but also I see things like Captain America Volume 3, 5 etc. Whats the difference. I want to join this cause I loved # 601.

Basically, the volumes are the way the comic book industry when they start sorting comics extremely long. For example, when a series reaches a point where he is getting old, and they want to do something new, they will launch this new direction, changing the volume 2. This allows new readers to have an easier jump at the moment, and gives readers another way to say when the story began to change. But with Captain America, they moved back to the original numbering with issue # 600. So if you want to go back, you'll want to get somewhere in volume 5, the last volume cap that was before their numbers changed.
