Which branch of the military is best for me?

I want to be a military officer. I want to see the fight and has a lot of travel, but do not get bored all the time. My grandfather is a retired captain of the Royal Army of Laos during the Vietnam War and came to America to train at Fort Knox. He tells me marines, air force and army can go wherever they want and stattioned Navy is always in a ship.
