Captain America Towels

And now … throw in the towel!
Most of us have never heard that Pearl Winners motivation "to quit, and quitters never win. Thus, it can be a bit confusing to realize that, indeed, a person can leave and still end up winning.
After the attack on the French troops of Washington [View] previous post (to avenge the death of his men in ambush in the forest), and delivery of Washington, the future first president United States of America threw in the towel. It's amazing to me that George Washington had been hoping his Virginia regiment to become part of the British Army regular, and himself an official there. How much less was his own vision of its future, that the one God had in store for him! ('Less' or even begin to describe it.) And it was not just Washington, to a lesser vision, was headed in the exact opposite of his divine destiny. I have to hope the Lord and His faithfulness to His plan for our nation. He used the dismay of Washington to steer you in the right direction.
George ambitions for a military career was now severely curtailed. After his defeat and surrender of the French, the Virginia regiment was disbanded. Hopes of progress as possible at a future undertaking were frustrated too – colonial officers would no longer be allowed to rise above the rank of captain. And all the colonial agents regardless of classification would be subject to regular ranks of the British Army. With this reorganization of the protocol ranking Washington saw only in his demotion future … not want to accept it, he resigned his commission.
Stopped.
(Well, we all know the story does not end here! And then can say for many of you today, that is what you think about your life may just be a change of direction, or a temporary hiatus, one step back re-group and re-supply need to move once again on track, the true path of your destiny! )
