If you are a golf enthusiast, you probably took to the television religiously last October to watch the World Cup 2009 on Presidents of the screen. Maybe you were fortunate enough to have tickets to witness the entire golf tournament. If so you had the opportunity to witness the full sport of golf at its best. If not, let's start with the 2009 Presidents Cup Team USA While the spotlight current member Team Tiger Woods is less favorable than with their personal problems, there is no doubt that, as part of the team, he was a most valuable player and one of only two team members who competed in the Presidents Cup five times before.

On hand were the team captain Fred Couples, assistant captain Jay Haas and team members Woods, Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker, Kenny Perry, Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, Sean O'Hair, Jim Furyk, Anthony Kim, Justin Leonard, Lucas Glover and Hunter Mahan. The foursomes Thursday took to the pitch with Kim / Mickelson vs. Weir / Clark in a game, Mahan / O'Hair vs. Scott / Els in Game 2, / Cink vs Glover Singye / Allenby in Match 3 / Perry Johnson v. Cabrera / Villegas in Match 4 / Woods Stricker vs. Ogilvy / Ishikawa Match in May and / Furyk vs. Leonard Goosen / Yang in Game 6. Starting 7-12 games was the game Friday and four balls later in the day, Team U.S. led the way with 19-1/2 points. The Saturday foursomes were arrested for starting the game 13-17. Also in Saturday's game balls for four games by Match 22 were arrested.

The Singles Sunday pitted the skills of Mahan v. Villegas, Scott vs. Cink, Leonard v. Weir, Kim v. Allenby, Stricker vs. Ogilvy, O'Hair vs. Els, Perry v. Ishikawa, Johnson Clark v. Woods v. Yang, Glover v. Singh, Goosen and Furyk Mickelson vs. vs. Cabrera. At the end of the day, Woods Order lead the U.S. team player by finishing off a week perfect. Just behind Woods, with only one loss in the Four-Ball and was a team loss in foursomes International player Ogilvy.

Harding Park was the site for the 2009 Presidents Cup matches. Team Captain picks for the U.S. were Glover and Mahan. International Team Captain picks were Scott and Ishikawa. The plans have been made for Presidents Cup 2011 games to be held at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. As for the games of 2009 Harding Park, players and fans who were on hand were treated with the best golf on the greens which are considered by many as San Francisco's finest.

Celebrity trainer Michael Jordan was present to receive a standing ovation from the U.S. team at the closing ceremony. Jordan gave an inspiring speech on Saturday night about teamwork, in reference to the ability of the U.S. team to win six games outright and scoring seven points in a single. Some of the "best" awards were for Ishikawa the best rookie. Ishikawa, who just turned 18 years, showed no fear against experienced players such as Perry, who is 49.

Woods and Stricker were voted best partners and received the best game of recognition for 23-foot birdie on the 17th hole against Woods Weir and Clark. Woods was also recognized for the best shot of his second shot foursomes on Saturday at the par-5 18th hole, when he fell nine feet of Eagle has acknowledged more than 230 yards out.
