Captain America Ring

Will the Democrats kill Captain America?
One shot out on a sunny afternoon, and a figure of falls, dressed in red, white and blue the shield down the courthouse steps as the crowd screams in terror. Captain America is dead. The news is immediate and the U.S. is shocked. A screen replays Times Square to act more and more, and a young mother covers the eyes of their daughters. "Why kill the mother?" His mother, with tears streaming down his face, says: "I do not know dear, I do not know." A crowd of young people, many dressed in T-shirts of Che Gueverra, laughing and drinking wine, breaking bottles in the street. "The man is dead! "A scream, then performs a dance on the sidewalk." America is going down! "His friends all laugh. On TV, many commentators are talking about. Fox has "remembered Captain America" and details his struggle against the Nazis, and set his sacrifice for his country. Keith Olberman takes a different tack, saying, "Is that Captain America died by his own patriotism fool?"
Oh yeah! The agenda of the left is the who killed Captain America. It's the same looney left wingnut thinking that destroyed Superman. This country sicko kinder, gentler, more tolerant, more inclusive " we are turning are ripping our identity as a nation. We must accept who, for whatever reason and we are not allowed not to accept even the most disgusting behaviors of fear that may "hurt someone's feelings." I had enough! Yes! I have my prejudices. I'm happy with what I feel in all matters involving my life, and I'm not ashamed to stand by my convictions.

Ace of Aces: The Life of Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker $13.06 ACE OF ACESThe Life of Captain Eddie Rickenbacker H. Paul JeffersAuthor of In the Roughrider’s ShadowIn this important new biography, acclaimed historian H. Paul Jeffers brings to vivid life one of the most daring and dramatic figures of twentieth century America-Medal of Honor recipient Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker. Born to immigrant parents with humble means at the turn of the century, Edward Rickenbacker was destined to embody the ingenuity, innovation, and courage that would make the United States a world power. Rickenbacker burst onto the national scene as one of the nation’s first star race car drivers. In an era when tracks were rough and safety precautions virtually unknown, Rickenbacker pushed the fastest machines at terrifying speeds. Later in life, he would own the Indianapolis Speedway and help establish the sport of modern race car driving as we know it. But Rickenbacker’s lasting fame came as an Ace of Aces in World War I, a fearless fighter pilot who would chase the Flying Circus of the legendary Red Baron above the battlefields of France. With his Hat-in-the-Ring squadron, Eddie was among the first to understand that the new technology of aviation would forever change the face of warfare. Shooting down twenty-six enemy planes in just seven months, he captured the hearts of a nation back home involved in its first Great War. Even after the war, he remained a national figure as one of the founders of Eastern Airlines. Turning his wartime experience to peacetime industry, Rickenbacker again led American interests in reshaping the world. And in one of the most dramatic chapters of World War II, a plane on which Rickenbacker flew as a civiliancrash-landed in the Pacific Ocean. He survived as a castaway for twenty-four days before a rescue that defied the odds. Ace of Aces is the unparalleled story of a hero and the dramatic events that shaped our country and our history. From the Hardcover edition. |

Dark Noon: The Final Voyage of the Fishing Boat Pelican $14.95 Saturday, Labor Day weekend, 1951, dawned mild and cloudless over Montauk. Hundreds of passengers tumbled from the Long Island Rail Road’s weekend express train, the Fisherman’s Special, when it pulled in from New York City. The weather only confirmed the postwar optimism of the blue-collar workers who had thronged to this fishing village for a holiday of deep-sea angling. In America, in 1951, it was easy to believe that anyone could make money and enjoy the good life, and no place suited that mood better than a fishing town. The Montauk fishing business was booming. The dock the arriving anglers swarmed over had been named, without a trace of self-consciousness, Fishangri-la, and the waiting fishing boat captains could see no obstacle to a record weekend.Maybe it was naive optimism that propelled Captain Eddie Carroll away from the dock that morning with sixty-two passengers aboard his fishing boat Pelican, some thirty more than safe capacity. He was everyone’s favorite skipper, a handsome World War II veteran with an easy manner, an endless supply of fish and war stories, a sturdy forty-two-foot boat, newly rebuilt engines, and an uncanny ability to find good fishing. In his pocket that day he carried the ring that he would soon slip on the finger of his Swedish bride-to-be.But Eddie’s luck was about to run out. Even as the Pelican cut its outgoing swath through the sun-spangled Atlantic, a jet-stream trough of Arctic air high overhead, undetected by forecasters, was pressing down on the pool of warm air beneath it like water building behind a dam. The Pelican and forty-five people aboard, including Captain Carroll himself, would never return to shore.Dark Noon is a suspenseful and ultimately heartbreaking sea story. It’s also a journey back to the America of the early 1950s, when a laborer could buy a round-trip train ticket from Queens to Montauk and fish all day with Captain Eddie for |
