Captain America Original Costume

What super hero or super villain for a Dental Beer Race???

I have got a dental conference in Birmingham this Feb and the theme for our university is super hero or super villain for a dental beer race. I need a super hero costume idea that is not only cool, but not to mad and outrageous. Something like Zorro or Captain America, which my friends have already taken, and not spiderman or batman or superman as they are too common.
I would like it to be an idea which is hopefully original and helps me win best dressed.

Sandman (Original 1940′s Character.. The one with the gasmask). Would be relatively easy to make and would be a complement to your Y!A name… kind of.

Starman (Jack Knights version) I did this one a number of years ago. Was pretty easy to make the cosmic rod.
