Captain America Iraq

America can really defeat terrorism?
I remember this scene from the Godfather, you think this tells you about our situation in Iraq and Afgahnistan? Michael Corleone: I saw a strange thing today. Some rebels were being arrested. One of them pulled the pin from a grenade. He took himself and the captain command with him. Now, soldiers are paid to fight, the rebels are not. Hyman Roth: What to say? Michael Corleone: It means he could win. I do not know, maybe I'm reading a lot for this, but ask yourself who can defeat the people who really are not afraid to die?
Why fight against crime, because some people always will think it's easier to get other people to legally work for what they have? There can be mafia, but some group always organized criminal activity to maximize profits illegally. Since we know that there will always be groups and organized crime behind the crime, why should we fight it? The same reasons, however, that we fight against crime and against groups like the Mafia – although we know that is an endless struggle that, when the defeat of an organization, enter into one or more lead the organization's fight defeated – are the same reasons to fight terrorism. We know that if we do not fight against crime and combating organized crime, particularly criminal elements become more brazen and do more damage. It is our struggle against those who control the damage they do. Likewise, you always terrorists. And the nations and people who face the terrorists have one or two choices – which are the same choices that face organized crime groups, which can be seen as financial terrorists rather than political or religious terrorists. We can choose to do nothing and have terrorists to dominate our lives through their actions, or we can choose to fight them in a war without end and limit the damage they do to our lives. And so it is impossible to stamp out terrorism? Not because the fact that people are willing to die for a cause. Many more people in the United States are willing to die for democracy and the ideas that our nation believes they are willing to die for religion style Taliban in Afghanistan. How do I know? I know this because we have more troops in Afghanistan alone – And all our soldiers are volunteers – the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan together. Unlike Vietnam, where most of the soldiers were volunteer troops, but a large portion were written, our soldiers in Afghanistan are all volunteers. We have people who are more than willing to die for their beliefs. So then the question is not about which side has more people willing to die, but whether or not we, who are not doing to fight and die, and who often do not want to die, have the political will to support those who are willing to die fighting the battles. So if success is not due to terrorism the people's will to die, what is owed? Size, or rather the lack of size. If al-Qaeda tried to field a brigade-size force near New York, that the force would be quickly discovered and destroyed. But four cells and five men have to do something stupid, such as training films for a commercial developer film for processing, or bad luck of being caught. Because the terrorist cells are so small, they can mix it with others around you. And if they are struggling at home, where they were born and raise and I know every rock and dip in the landscape, they can take advantage of natural terrain and native population, which has family and friends. Moreover, there is no need an army to detonate a bomb or to spread the infection, or lethal poison. You can detonate a bomb with one, two or half a dozen people. So while you have a dozen people dedicated to the cause, you can bite attacks. You'll never really breaking anything, because you do not have the size, but you can make the evening news. And there's always a couple of nuts who advocate any ideology lamebrain. So, no, because of the nature of terrorism, the United States never truly defeat or eradicate terrorism, as we never really defeat or eliminate the Corleone in the world. Once a defeat, another nut is ready to take up the cause. And all it takes to keep terrorism is a no, hundreds, thousands or millions. But if we do not fight terrorism, we'll run the nuts on the planet …
