From comics to movies
When this become trendy? When did Hollywood finally see the potential in decades Spider-Man, X-Men, Batman, Captain America and even thor comics? When will viewers finally understand and appreciate the appeal of the world, four colors, as is depicted in live action (with a little CGI animation thrown in for good measure)?
Comic books and film go hand in hand, and always more or less. Both are forms of visual entertainment that fantastic stories, often things that can only happen within the limits of their respective media. Fictional literature is the same way as are doing theater and paintings, if you want to take you so far. However, comics have always been viewed as the ugly duckling of the artistic and literary worlds. But finally, people are taking notice.
But comics on the big screen or small are nothing new in itself. For years, comics have properties found its way onto screens around the world. The '60s brought Batman and Robin, and the '70s brought us the Fantastic Four and Captain America, while the '80s brought us Punisher and Superman. Not to mention the small screen success with Shazam and TV The Incredible Hulk. But with advances in film these days that the supplement provides perfect for the comic world, finally.
Years ago we could not have seen the 9 meters tall Hulk shaking the city with the appearance of "50 meters Woman 'worth of production. We would not be able to see the intricate acrobatics of Spider-Man, or the dark shade and sandy nature of Batman.
Thanks to success in movies like Men in Black, which is also derived from a comic book, the list of comics that have been made into movies these days is infinite. And there is only more to come. There are films in the works based on Wonder Woman, the Justice League, The Avengers, Captain Marvel, Thor and comics, and many more. This is truly the era of comics to film, as the new properties and become constantly optioned and start developing a whole new audience is being introduced to this wonderful medium that many of their noses in outrage over the decades.
Now if all this success the big screen will have no impact on printed material of the same nature remains to be seen. But at least we get to see our favorite heroes and villains in 3D glory once and for all!
