Captain America Dies Comic

Looking for the name of a violent gory superhero comic book i read in the 90s with alot of superheroes dying.?

as i said the story was centred around alot of superheroes brought together, cant remember if they were fighting each other or being killed by some other people but the superheroesi remember were Captain America, flash etc all being killed in various sick ways. a bit i remember is a superhero being eaten by cannibals and put on a spit. sorry cant describe much just remember it being quite disturbing at the time. if anyone can help that would be great. thanks
