Captain America Attacks Tea Party

Green coffee to protect against oxidative stress

Records show that consumption of coffee originated in Ethiopia, northeastern Africa, where Arab traders introduced the plant to the Middle East. From there he moved to Turkey in the 15th century, which was much appreciated as a beverage daily because of its invigorating properties. It is also believed that the infamous Captain John Smith introduced the plant in Virginia.

The Brazilian coffee trade was largely due to the introduction of beans in this country by the French in 1727, and the Boston Tea Party in 1773 became the only non-alcoholic drink worth by the patriots of America 18th century. Now, more than 50% of Americans drink coffee daily, although this seems a rather conservative estimate, and the houses of tea England have largely been replaced by coffee shops and the ubiquitous Starbucks.

So much for the story of a drink that has been valued by its stimulant properties, but recent research has shown that not only is coffee a stimulant drink, but that is a strong antioxidant due to its content of polyphenols. However, not all forms of coffee have this property, only the green coffee bean before it was baked. Polyphenols are antioxidants very powerful that scavenge free radicals that destroy body cells, not only accelerates aging, but also threaten the health of your cardiovascular system and health of other major organs.

Free radicals are compounds with a free electron. Normally, electrons in all stable molecules come in pairs, and any free electron without a partner is like a bachelor in love. He will seek a mate, and take him where he can find one. Typically, ensures your partner by stealing an electron from one of the cells of our body. This can totally destroy the cell, because no one can, that your partner has stolen, and cell destruction is not a good thing. It is the destruction of cells in the body that promotes aa appearance that aging brings: the wrinkles and loss of energy that is generated by the healthy cell activity.

Antioxidants destroy these free radicals, and come in a number of different ways. Vitamins A, C and E are powerful antioxidants, as are many compounds that are essential to our biochemistry, such as beta-carotene and polyphenols. These polyphenols are Found in virtually all plants to a greater or smaller, and is another rich source of grapes, and those found in green coffee beans are what are known hydroxycinnamic acid as the most abundant of which is caffeic acid. Another is chlorogenic acid and together they form a very strong team in preventing oxidation by free radicals in LDL (low density lipoprotein).

Low high-density lipoproteins are those that carry cholesterol liver to body areas that require first aid due to injury, such as arterial walls. However, this can be attacked by free radicals and oxidized blocking the results of the deposition of excess cholesterol that can accumulate until they eventually tightens, and sometimes through, the major cardiac arteries. This is a serious condition known as atherosclerosis that can lead to heart disease and stroke or imprisonment if the artery in the brain.

Not only of chlorogenic acid and caffeic help prevent this from occurring, but also help prevent cellular degeneration caused by free radicals. Should be extracted from green coffee bean roasting or heating because, in any form, including beer, destroys them. In fact, brewed coffee contains some substances potentially damaging called diterpenes that some believe can increase your chances of heart disease by up to fifth, if you drink coffee regularly during his life.

It is also believed that the extract of green coffee may reduce the risk of diabetes through its effect on the levels of blood glucose. The evidence is coming to light that some polyphenols, including chlorogenic acid, may have properties of inhibiting the activity of glucose-6-phosphate, also known as Esther Robison, who is involved in the metabolism of glucose in the blood which is affected by diabetes, which reduces its concentration. The chlorogenic acid that is to be able to correct this imbalance, not only reduce levels of blood glucose, but increased the glycogen stored in the liver as a source of emergency power for the body.

Green bean coffee extract also has other beneficial properties, not least of which is its effect in increasing the metabolism of fats in relation to carbohydrates. This assists in weight loss and also increases stamina. The reduced risk of diabetes by 50% in men, and a little less in women, may be due to a combination of regulation of glucose-6-phosphate and the regulation of blood glucose levels and glucose and weight control in general. The vast majority of diabetes patients are overweight.

In animal studies, the presence of chlorogenic acid appears to reduce the hyperglycemic peak that arises through the action of glucagon, a hormone used to counter hypoglycemia. The fact that chlorogenic acid reduced this peak of sugar indicates its potential use in reducing abnormally high levels of blood glucose. Another effect of this was the increase in animal glycogen level and glucose-6-phosphate in the liver.

This indicates a reduction in glycogenolysis, whereby glycogen is finally converted into glucose-6-phosphate and glucose, thereby increasing levels blood glucose and also of gluconeogenesis which is the production of glucose from carbohydrates and some glucogenic amino acids. In other words, coffee, green bean extract may help regulate glucose levels in the blood, preventing the liver to produce glucose from glycogen and carbohydrates.

However, addition of biochemistry should be stressed that these benefits are not obtained by drinking coffee, and it has to be repeated that the active agents in providing them are destroyed by the processes of brewing and baking. It's just the green coffee beans that can be used to protect cells from oxidative stress the human body and the gradual breakdown premature aging and many other related conditions.
